Gas Cylinder Laser Marking

All gas cylinders used for the transport of gases by road in the UK are subject to statutory legislation.

Gas cylinders require periodic retesting every 10 years. Upon successful completion of a test, the cylinder then requires remarking with various information including the date of the next retest due. Our laser marking machines are well suited for marking a large range of different sized cylinders

The challenge – Laser Marking Multiple Cylinders Simultaneously

The customer has a large quantity of cylinders to mark so providing a solution where 8 parts could be processed consecutively was a huge advantage. We supplied:

XXL-BOX 1200 laser marking system with programmable X axis gantry
Tooling to house the 8 cylinders
Custom SIC Factory Automation software

All the cylinders need to have the same information, amounting to eight markings per cycle

The machine is necessary to improve quality, productivity and traceability.
